New bird alert!
The indigo buntings are back from South America! I spotted my first today at the sunflower bird feeders.
And my, were there many birds around the feeder today!
I spotted FIVE common grackles, 4 cardinals, three mourning doves, two red-bellied woodpeckers and of course, an indigo bunting!
That's not all I'd seen, of course, but I thought it was nice to phrase it such, it sounds like i'm singing the 12 days of christmas. I saw a blue bird, house finch, blue jay, and the usual chickadees and titmice.
Species seen in my backyard to date : TWENTY FIVE!
